Polio eradication action with informed and engaged societies
After nearly 28 years, The Communication Initiative (The CI) Global is entering a new chapter. Following a period of transition, the global website has been transferred to the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits) in South Africa, where it will be administered by the Social and Behaviour Change Communication Division. Wits' commitment to social change and justice makes it a trusted steward for The CI's legacy and future.

Co-founder Victoria Martin is pleased to see this work continue under Wits' leadership. Victoria knows that co-founder Warren Feek (1953–2024) would have felt deep pride in The CI Global's Africa-led direction.

We honour the team and partners who sustained The CI for decades. Meanwhile, La Iniciativa de Comunicación (CILA) continues independently at cila.comminitcila.com and is linked with The CI Global site.

Hello Fellows!

This is awesome! My abstract titled "Promoting and increasing uptake of Family planning and SRH services among the youths in tertiary institutions at PSZ Clinics through use of youth choice champions for referrals and In-Reach service provision at tertiary institutions"  was accepted for Poster presentation at the 2018 SBCC Summit. I am happy to be part of this great and historic event in the field of SBCC. I look forward to strong engagements, networking, collaborations and sharing notes with experts from other countries and regions.

SBCC the missing link in solving world problems from cholera, climate change, ebola, zika virus etc

This event presents an opportunity to grow the SBCC network and witness best practices in SBCC and EE. It is high level learning and networking event for like-Minded professionals and i look forward to benefit immensely from the presentations, learning experiences and discusisons. I will definetely take a lot of lessons home and implement in the field of sexual and reproductive health particularly focusing on Family planning among the youths and adolescents.

See you there!
