Polio Toolkit

"...evidence-driven communication strategies to help vaccinate every child."
The Polio Toolkit, a web-based repository of social and behaviour change (SBC) resources, is designed to improve sharing of information, SBC guidance, and learnings between the Global Polio Eradication Initiative (GPEI), local partners, organisations, and frontline workers working to eradicate polio worldwide. The Polio Toolkit was launched in August 2022 by the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), which manages the site as one of the GPEI partners.
To facilitate identification of resources in the Polio Toolkit library, the site offers a search function, in English and French, and various filtering tools. It also provides learning opportunities, including access to: courses in UNICEF's free Agora portal; the 4-part Polio Communication Global Guide; a set of tools and resources for collecting and using social data; UNICEF's framework approach to misinformation management; techniques and strategies developed by the UNICEF/Public Good Projects Digital Community Engagement Unit, and more. The Polio Toolkit features communication guidance for the introduction of novel oral polio vaccine (nOPV2), the newest tool in the battle against polio outbreaks.
If you wish to contribute resources (documents, reports, etc.) to the repository, please email poliokit@unicef.org with the resource as a PDF document - specifying the title, the language, the country, the document type, and the date of publication.
