Community empowerment for SBCC
I am exited to present an abstract titled "To what extent have the Concern facilitated ‘Community Conversations’ brought about community empowerment" at the SBCC summit in Nusa Dua, Indonesia.
Working with 'Men Base' and 'Moran base Circles' for SBCC
Young men in urban and ASALs are excluded in developement projects and interventions. It is one segment of a community we cannot afford to exclude especially on SBCC for a variety of community challenges. In Concern Worlwide Kenya Prorgramme, we are engaging young men in urban contects using 'men base circle' and those in ASALs using "moran base circle' approaches for SBCC with a particular focus on protection of girls.
Hi All, I work with Sierra
Hi All,
I work with Sierra James at Ba Futuru. As well as Domin Nakloke, the Ba Futuru also created the Feto Fantastiku. This film was well received in Timor-Lest. Here are some of the some of statistic results;
After viewing the Feto Fantastiku ba Dame Film, 71% of surveyed students said domestic violence is illegal and that everyone has the responsibility to report it, compared to 24% before watching it. After the film 93% of students knew of strategies to prevent and manage conflict situations and 65% were able to list strategies (compared to 52% who knew strategies and 14% who could list one before).
